LINE AND SHAPE
REFLECTION
Describe the photos you took:What is the distance in the shot? (How close or far away are you from your subject?)
I am choosing the third photo in my gallery. In the photo, I am very close to the subject creating a very detailed photo.
What was your point of view when you took the photos? (from above, below, straight on...)
My point of view when taking the photos was from straight on, considering the photo was taken indoors, and there is not much opportunity to take pictures from above or below.
Are your photographs horizontal or vertical?
My picture is vertical. I did this because the subject of my photo was a tall, skinny vase, that I think benefited more when I took it vertically.
Did you consider the rule of thirds to compose your shots? In which photos? Describe.
Yes, I did consider the rule of thirds on this photo. I used the rule vertically, to line up the lamp vertical shape on the left and line up the curtains which was vertical on the right. Next time, I will try my hardest to incorporate the rule of thirds horizontally in my photo.
Which one of of your photos is a dynamic composition that successfully leads the viewer’s eye through the work?
The most visually appealing dynamic composition in my photo was the apple having a distorted view through the vase. It creates an illusion to the viewer and makes it more interesting.
